Suggest Remedy For Swollen, Painful, Red Area Around Eye After Popping A Pimple
Hi my boyfriend woke up a few days ago with a pimple next to his eye. He popped it and nothing came out of it but a little clear liquid. I told him not to mess with it but he didn t listen. After he popped it got very swollen and very painful. So painful it hurt him to laugh. He tried to get the swelling down by keeping the area clean with rubbing alcohol and peroxide and putting a cold towel on it. The next morning the swelling went down a lil and it wasn t as painful. The area just looked a little red where the pimple was. This morning he tried popping it again. Big mistake now it is worst! He just started a new job a few months ago and just sent in his paperwork for his benefits a week ago so he doesn t have health coverage at the moment. Is there any thing that he can do at home to help this problem or should he go to the hospital anyways?
It seemed to be furuncle which is bacterial infection of the hair follicle. I would recommend you to take a course of oral and topical antibiotic and anti inflammatory medicines.
