Hello,

The commonest cause of swelling feet, ankles & leg is obesity, water retention due to excess salt intake, deep vein thrombosis, OA, RA, venous insufficiency etc. You are suggested to get clinically examined, get blood & Imaging test done & treated at the earliest. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected. Presently cut on salt intake, maintain low BMI, do walking & exercises. For pain take Naproxen or Ibuprofen, one SOS when needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
