Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. My heart seems to be beating faster than normal. I took a reading and it was 96 bpm and 98 bpm. I am 45, diabetic female overweight with little activity. I smoke when i drink. My sleep has not been good the past few weeks. Probably haven t drank enough water either. Is this cause for concern?
Hello , The heart rate you have mentioned is still considered normal pulse ( normal is pulse between 60-100) , so you need not worry and no treatment is needed for the same . However smoking , dehydration and anxiety will all result in increased adrenaline in the blood stream which may cause higher pulse and blood pressure. So its best to avoid the same .
