How you developed blue balls? Any history of trauma? Or the pain and swelling developed after sending a day with your girl? To me it appears to be epididymo-orchitis or simply orchitis. If such a patient walk into my clinic I usually treat him with empirical therapy initially, which is tab Ciprofloxacin 500mg 12hourly, Cap Doxycycline 200mg Stat then 100mg 12houlry, tab paracetamol 500mg 2tab 8hourly along with scrotal support. If it does not responding to empiric therapy, then mid-stream urine sample is taken for culture sensitivity to isolate the causative organism and also suggest antibiotics to which the isolated organism is sensitive.
