Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of tender bump near ear. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like atopic dermatitis, otitis externa, contact dermatitis , seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis or localize infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to apply cold compresses to rashes to reduce the redness or inflammation , take antihistamine like benadryl twice a day and do no touch it again and again. Maintain hygiene of that area. Keep area clean with betadine. Take proper course of antibiotics. If symptoms keeps on persisting visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. If pus arises or persists drainage under anesthesia is the solution of your problem. Apply antiseptic lotion as well locally. If there is delayed healing due to irritation of ring, remove the rings for few days and re apply after healing.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
