Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
By your history and description, possibility of
musculoskeletal pain due to improper and awkward sitting posture is more.
But better to get done chest
x ray to rule rule out internal lung pathology (chances are very less).
If chest x ray is normal then no need to worry for any major disease.
Follow these steps for better symptomatic relief.
1. Sit with proper back and chest support.
2. Avoid bad postures in sleep.
3. Avoid movements causing pain.
4. Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise.
5. Along with
muscle relaxant, you should also take painkiller for quicker and better improvement.
6. Apply ice packs on affected areas.
7. Wear chest belt or rib belt to prevent mobilization of painful areas.
You will mostly improve with all these in 1-2 weeks. If not improving then consult orthopedic doctor and physiotherapist.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
