Suggest Remedy For Throat And Chest Congestion

For about 4 weeks now I have been experiencing a heaviness in my throat and chest. I wake up at least once or twice a week having to heave, but only clear mucus comes out, sometimes a bit pink. neither pepto, nor tums help. I just feel very nauseous. I m 59 years old female.

Hi,thank you for posting your query on health care magic.

Looking at your symptoms, you might be suffering from Inflammation in the respiratory tract.

You may find relief by taking following medicines:
Oral decongestant like Phenylephrine (if you are not suffering from hypertension and high pressure in the eyes-glaucoma),
Analgesic with Anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen,
Antacid with Antivomiting like Pantoprazole-Domperidone,
Cough expectorant with bronchodilator like Ambroxol with Salbutamol and
Antihistaminic like Cetrizine.

Also do warm saline gargles.Drink plenty of fluids (warm). Avoid dust.Avoid cold, spicy and oily food.Do steam inhalation.
