As per your query you have symptoms of tinnitus caused post air travel well tinnitus isn t a condition itself but it s a symptom of an underlying condition, such as involvement of inner ear sometimes due to infection which leads to creation of negative pressure build up. Need not to worry. You should not touch or prick ear with any sharp object. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination and to find out exact cause . Doctor may order certain tests like audiological test, otoscopic examination and high and low pitched test . CT scan ,MRI can also be done to rule out conditions like hearing loss , exposure to loud noises , earwax buildup , middle ear infection.
