I M HAVING AN INTERMITTENT HIGH-PITCHED CHIRPING NOISE IN MY LEFT INNER EAR WHICH IS CAUSING VERTIGO FOR 5 TO 10 SECONDS. BEEN GOING ON FOR SEVERAL DAYS. BETTER AT NIGHT WHEN LAYING DOWN -- BUT RE-OCCURRS WHEN I M UP. NO FEVER OR OBVIOUS SIGNS OF INFECTION OR STUFFINESS, HEAD COLD, ETC. PLEASE ADVISE.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have problem of tinnitus with vertigo. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like inflammation within the inner ear sometimes due to infection, head injury, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo certain medications and due to cervical spondylosis, meniere's disease , acoustic neuroma , sinusitis and multiple sclerosis migraines. Need not to worry. You should not touch or prick ears with any sharp object. Maintain hygiene of ears. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper evaluation of the condition . Doctor may order certain tests like CT scan , MRI , blood test , audiometry test, and examination with otoscope . Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drugs along with gentamicin at least for a week , doctor may also recommend vestibular therapy .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
