Suggest Remedy For Tonsillitis

Hi have 1 enlarged tonsil (right side) with a small white head type spot on both tonsils I have no pain only a slightly ache in my neck ( right side) dr prescribed antibiotics and said its tonsillitis nothing has changed in a week could it be tonsil cancer ? Extremely worried suffer with anxiety especially with regards to cancer.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain slight enlargement of tonsil is due to inflammation and white spots seems to be pus pocket and both are secondary to bacterial infection also called as Strep throat..
You need not to worry about Cancer as it is not a sign of cancer but commonly bacterial infection..
You should consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like throat swab culture can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done..
You should be advised another 5 days course of antibiotics like Azithromycin, Anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, do warm saline gargles and steam inhalation..
Take a soft diet..

Hopefully it will resolve in a week..
