I have a couple of ulcers just inside the lips of my vagina in the crease. My vagina itches and feels swollen. The ulcer in the crease is rather large and is very irritating. I thought to begin with I had a yeast infection but now I do not know since I discovered the ulcers.
Hello, Thanks for asking at Healthcaremagic! I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.
As per your description, it seems that you are having simple vaginal sore/blisters. However we have to rule out herpes genitalis before starting the treatment. I suggest you to consult a gynecologist and get the following things done:- (1)- A speculum examination(visual examination of your vagina ) is needed to make provisional diagnosis. Secretion may be collected to rule out Herpes infection. (2)- You can take analgesics like ibuprofen or meftal for pain. (3)- Candid creams and topical mupirocinointments can be applied. (4)- A short course of antibiotics may be used empirically. (5)- Avoid unhealthy sexual practice. Avoid sexual intercourse for few days until the diagnosis is made.
Hope I have answered your query. Wishing you good health.
Regards. Dr.Shinas Hussain
