I ve been getting unexplained bruising hives for the past 3 years, the hives spread over my body and last around a week leaving a bruise. I ve had a punch biopsy but it came up clean. The hives appear on my thighs, arms, knees, palms of my hands and now soles of my feet. The hives are extremely painful, they swell. Then turn black 3 days after the hives leave. I get headaches, nausea, joint pain, and vertigo when I get these hives. Please help!
Hi. As per your clinical history the most probable diagnosis is Urticarial Vasculitis The following care needs to be taken- 1. Avoid Dairy products and preservative-artificial colour food. 2. Never ever take any medicine without doctor's advice. Certain Medicines may aggravate the condition. 3. As it is from 3 years you may need investigations like CBC,Absolute Eosinophil Count, Serum IgE level 4. Start taking non-sedative anti-histaminic like tab. Levocetrizine 5 mg twice daily and apply calamine lotion when hives appear. 5. You may need other anti-inflammatory medicines like colchicine, NSAID, dapsone if condition persisits...Consult a dermatologist.
