s smathere a safer method like capsule endoscopy rather than a cystoscopy for a snnemall amount of blood in urine hematuria while all blood tests are negative and good health what is safer than a suggested cystoscopy at a clinic non hospital . urine test showed negative small amount a blood only?? afraid of any unescesary surgery???what about a capsule endoscopy taking a pill or exray without risks?
Dear-thanks for using our service. I understand your concern and will give you my medical advise. It is safe to have a cystoscopy in a clinic, this is a minor surgical procedure that have a very low risk of complications. If you had a negative urine culture but positive blood in the urine, it is recommended to have a cystoscopy for a better visualization and diagnose of your urinary system. In terms for the capsule endoscope, this is for a gastrointestinal view because you swallow it and will go to the intestinal tract not the urinary . You should have a renal ultrasound to check out for kidney stone or any other reason for the microscopic hematuria. Another xray procedure is a KUB which is good to determine the presence of kidney stone and hydronephrosis ( urethers enlargements) I hope that my advise has been helpful Dr.JC
