Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 5'3" 130lbs 27yrs and 10wks pregnant. I have been very constipated but for the last 3 days I have had soft BMs or diarrhea. I pass a little bit of vaginal mucus when I have a BM but just before I had diarrhea and passed quite a large amount of vaginal mucus. I have my 10wk appt. tomorrow. Should I be concerned with this and go to urgent care, or just tell my dr. tomorrow?
dear along with the bowel movement mucous present in cervix may dislodge it is common in few people.but if you observe any sporting or itching or white discharge means please consult your doctor.
Progesterone effects: An odorless, heavier, thick, whitish, or yellowish mucus discharge might be one of your earliest signs you are pregnant. This thick, sticky, or gummy mucus is caused by progesterone.
Estrogen effects: As your pregnancy progresses during the first trimester, you might have a heavier mucus discharge. Estrogen increases the amount of mucus the inner lining of your cervix (endocervix) makes. The effect of estrogen also makes your cervical mucus feel wet and slippery, and it can look clear, milky white, creamy, or yellowish.
I think I answered to your question if you have more questions feel free to ask.
