Suggest Remedy For Vdrl/skin Infection

my mother had skin irritation and was detected vdrl positive and she took treatment for it 4 years ago,I used to sleep with her ,eat wth er and by mistake used her underware once few days ago now am married and have got skin irritation.can i be vdrl positive.

Welcome to HCM.

VDRL is a test for Syphilis. The skin manifestations in Syphilis would not have any irritation. If your mother has irritation or itching over skin,then her lesions would be unlikely to be due to Syphilis. If your mother had adequate treatment for syphilis,it is no longer infectious. Moreover Syphilis could not spread through fomites (through clothes), whereas certain other skin diseases, other than STD, like fungal infection can spread through sharing clothes.
