Suggest Remedy For Whole Body Itching Caused By Elevated Liver Enzymes
My wife has itching symptoms all over her body. These sores have been biopsied and determined not to be parasitic or allergenic. It was suggested that he was an autoimmune response. She has mildly elevated liver enzymes and bilirubin. She is miserable. She has a GI appointment next week. She is trying to determine whether she should present herself at an emergency room. She has no fever.
The itching might be as a result of hyperbilirubinemia.Ursodeoxycholic acid can be used for the treatment of the condition as it increases bile excretion. Topical calamine lotion can be used for its soothing effect. Antihistamines like fexofenadine may also be used after consulting your dermatologist. Regards
