Anal fistula is a common complication after undergoing surgery for anal abscess. Anal fistula presents with symptoms like pain and discharge through the fistulous tract. The current treatment you are taking right now is to clear up any infection if present. The main stay of treatment for anal fistula is surgery and the type of the surgery can be determined only after the path of the fistulous tract is traced out. I would suggest you consult your local surgeon for further management.
