Suggest Remedy From Hair Loss Due To Drug

Aloha from Hawaii, I am on generic Levothyroxine; drug is named Synthroid. My concern is losing hair; not gaining weight or depressed. I would like to switch to alternative meds; can you help me? I did not know I would have to pay for answers. I guess I want out. Thank you for your time.

Loss of hair, depression can be part of hypothyroidism. When you are depressed you do not eat well and without eating well you cannot gain weight. The other situation is that if you are taking more medicines than you should, then you can lose weight because of the same. If you have significant hypothyroidism which is because your body is not making enough hormone, only taking the hormone in sufficient amount would help you get well. No alternative medicine is equivalent to taking the replacement hormone.
If you would let me know your latest thyroid function tests , I shall comment on them.
