Suggest Remedy Mild To Occasionally Severe Rectal Pain And Irritation

I am a 36 year old male. I have been suffering from generally mild to occasionally severe rectal irritation/pain over the past 60 days. There has not been any noticable trace of blood in the stool though. Is it usual for piles to take such long tyo heal ? Thanks.

Hello,

The possible causes for rectal pain are:

1. Anal fissure: cause rectal pain and, difficulty during defecation.
2. Hemorrhoids: Pain and discomfort during defecation. If veins inflamed may lead severe pain so need surgical attention.
3. Perianal abscess.
4. Proctalgia fugax.
5. Peri anal fistula et cetera.

Avoid spicy food and alcohol, eat soft food and drink plenty of water. Avoid constipation with high fibre diet and regular exercise.

If symptoms not improved, please consult your surgeon, he/she will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
