Suggest Remedy To Control Diarrhea In One Month Old Baby
Hi, This is Niranjan, 27 year old. Question: i have a month old baby and he is suffering from diarrhea (lose motion) from past 2 days. Right now i am giving Nor-metrogyl 1ml 2 times a day. diarrhea is not coming under control. Please let me know what i can do next? is Nor-metrogyl is safe for a month old baby?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. Self treatment in a one month baby should not be done and cause of diarrhea in a one month old baby should be found out and prevented. It is unlikely for a month old baby to diarrhea unless there is transmission of infection via the nipples or utensils. It is normal for a baby to have 4 motions a day. Clean the nipples before breastfeeding. If bottlefed then see the utensils are well cleaned. Consult a Pediatrician for further diagnostic tests, management as required.
