Suggest Remedy To Prevent Poison Ivy From Spreading
I have Poison Ivy on my arms. I play football and this morning we worked out and went to the field outside and my arms produced sweat (of course). My poison ivy has broken out more. Is that from my pores in my arms opening up? I noticed a couple of the poison ivy bumps on my arms looked like they had some ooze of some sort coming out of them. Should I not work out so it doesn t spread to me or others? Thanks

1. Avoid using any soap or perfume for 7-10 days.
2. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetirizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
