Suggest Remedy To Relieve Burning Sensation In Eye Due To Getting Hit
Hi, I'm a 21 year old male. I was playing soccer last night and i was hit with the ball straight to my right eye with a hard shot. I saw a white light in my eye for a split second. Today, i'm feeling a burning sensation in my eye when exposed to daylight. What should i do?
hi Trauma or a blow to the eye can result in several different problems starting from mild irritation and infection upto complex problems like artery occlusions, glaucomas and eye nerve problems.
It needs an examination by an ophthalmologist to know whether there is any tear or laceration in your front portion of eye or inside eye. However your history indicates that it has not caused serious problem. If the white light has gone away and does not persist, then its not worrisome.
In such cases, there is a chance of infection. So, in the meanwhile use some antibiotic ophthalmic solution like moxifloxacin 0.5% and a mild steroid like flourometholone eye drops to combat inflammation. You can use them for about 10 days. Wear sunglasses for a few days in broad daylight.
Best of luck. Get back to me for any further queries.
