Hi, my name is Ron, and I am a 43 year old Caucasian male who has always been fairly athletic but also always heavy. Very heavy in fact. My health has always been okay, apart from being so big. I ve noticed, however, that in the last several years, my feet have begun to roll to the outside increasingly. I always had a very neutral gate before, but now I ve found that I m constantly struggling with my shoes. With the combination of my size and this tendency, shoes are now only lasting me about a month to a month and a half. And I only buy shoes that have heavy cushion and are built for neutral/under pronating walks. So I pretty much wear Nike Pegasus or brooks glycerin / brooks ghost. My feet, after about a month, hurt very bad until I get new shoes. And they all wear down disproportionately on the outsides. It s also gotten extremely expensive to buy up to 10 pairs of these type shoes per year. Any advice on how to stop the outward lean of my foot, which would help with my foot pain and allow me to go through less shoes? Also, are there any prosthetics you recommend for under pronation that may be of help or even shoes designed for my problem? Thank you so much for taking my question:)
