Suggest Risk For Pregnancy With Damaged Eggs

I have recently had a ct scan of my admomen/ kidneys, and the emergency room doctor warned me that there is a risk of damage to my eggs (increase risk in birth defects). Is this entirely true, and if so, what is the potential risk to future pregancy?
