Suggest Risk With Infectious Colon And Abdominal Cramps

My mother is having abdominal craps doctors say that they believe something is wrong they are thinking but are not sure. They know she has a severe infrction in her colon and would liketo do exploratory surgery, what could be the problem and what are the risks of not having surgery.

Treatment depends upon the severity of the disease. Send stool culture and sensitivity, do colonoscopy for IBD (inflammatory bowel disease) and ultrasound abdomen and CT scan abdomen. Depending upon the severity, treatment may vary.

Please consult your gastroenterologist, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
