Hello Doctor, I am 32 years old and This is my 1st pregnancy I am 21 weeks pregnant and it seems from my USG report that my placenta location is low posterior and touching the cervix. What may be the complications that I may have to go thorugh as the my pregnancy progresses and is there any remedy to this problem. Please suggest as I am too worried

HELLO DEAR
I understand your concern , dear low lying placenta at 21weeks of gestation has no significance in majority of cases around 90 to 95% cases placenta migrate upwards till term because of formation of lower uterine segment so no need to worry at this stage, If in case it does not migrate then only one thing you should have to do you should plan your delivery in tertiary hospital where blood transfusion facilities are present and you should your iron supplements so before delivery your haemoglobin status is good. ALL the best
THANKS
