Suggest Side Effects Of Clarithromycin

I would like to know the side effects of this medicine clarithromyc 500 mg. I am basically a healthy 67 year Old female who does not like to take medicine. Also, prescribed an anti-bioptic amoxicillin 500 mg take 2 every 12 hrs. Seems like a lot meds. to be taking for 10 days. Email YYYY@YYYY

Hello,
As If your doctor has perscribed these medicines ,you have to follow according to the professional ;s suggestion. It is not harmfull having antibiotics to treat any infection or disease. Clarithromycin can cause rashes(allergic reaction),abnormal liver function,decreased platelates ,and infection of colon(colitis), due to costeridium bacteria.
lf you get any above mentioned symptom Eg..loose motions,abdomen cramps or rashes (allergic reaction) ,you should stop the antibiotic and discuss further with your doctor.
