Hello Ketoconazole is used as an anti-fungal drug. Topical application is often recommended for the treatment dandruff ( which might have been identified as a cause of your hair falll ). It has many side effects on parenteral use, but very less side effects on topical use- like pruritus, stinging, irritation, altered hair and scalp texture, scalp pustules etc. I would advice you to keep your hair clean and with consultation of your treating doctor you may use Minoxidil lotion topically which helps to grow hair.
