Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have been on birth contorl (shot) for a very long time. and have not had a period since i sarted. i recently started taken oxyelite pro and noticed a little spoting. will this drug cause the shot not to work. will this incress a change to get pregant
Oxyelite has a number of side effects and concerns with it to be honest. It has the noted concern of liverinjury and damage which does have to be watched carefully. In addition though this drug is NOT safe during pregnancy and can cause harm to the child. This medication can alter the chemistry of the birth control and could prevent the birth control from being completely effective, increasing the chance of pregnancy.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. David Girardi, Internal Medicine Specialist
