Now doctor diagnoase corneal weakness and suggest grafting of cornea which I am afraid to go through. What are the chances of success of grafting pls suggest my age is 63 years and am a male patient
You must have developed pseudophakic bullous keratopathy. Corenal graft is the best solution as medical treatment may not be curative. Success rate of corneal transplantation depends on various factors and cannot be predicted. It would depend on the health of the cornea and adjoining tissues in your eye , the grade of donor cornea. If both are good and there is no rejection, then chances of visual recovery is good.
