Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Doctor, my name is Hannah. I live in Philippines. I am having a hard time feeding my child now with Progress Gold. She has been drinking it for almost one year, but lately she has been ignoring the milk we are preparing for her. My husband and I are worried and we are planning to switch to Nido. However, we are not sure if Nido would be beneficial to our child. We are afraid our child would lose weight. Please help us decide. Thanks
Thank you for your question in HealthcareMagic. But let me know your child's age. This nutritional requirement varries with age. Basically Nido is a Dry Whole Milk, Non or Low Fat Milk. Because of this it has a creamier flavour and more calories. Nido includes calcium and vitamin A & D, are essential ingredients for a growing child to help children development and it maintains healthy bones and teeth. Although there is no age recommendation, but preferably children over three years of age. Unless you mention your child's age it is difficult to comment upon it would be helpful or not.If the food is not age appropriate, the child may lose weight. Hope this can help you.
