Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my husband broke his wrist 5 months ago. The doctor put 2 pins in his wrist to put the bone back in place. now, the bone is not in the place the doctor had put it in. The bone has shifted. It shifted while he had the first cast on according to the x-rays. His arm looks deformed now. He still has alot of pain. His fingers are numb. The doctor said he put his wrist back together the best he could. He told him that 2 months ago. My husband went back to the same doctor last week and now the doctor said he can go back in and fix it by putting a plate in with screws and do a bone graft. My husband asked him why didnt he do that to begin with and the doctor stated that he didnt want to get that aggressive with it. I just want ur opinion on this. I believe the doctor should have fixed his wrist right the first time.
