i had sex with a prostitute in kolkata 8 days before by using two ustad condoms during one intercourse .condom not broken ,but i am feared of HIV infection ,which is the test by which i would know that hiv virus is present inside my body or not iunder one month

thank you for query.The chances of transmission of HIV by sexual route is 1/ 200 to 1/2000 even if the partner is HIV infected.It is least as you have protected intercourse.You can go for HIV RNA PCR if you have anxiety for HIV after 14 days of exposure .you can go for HIV combo test after 28 days of exposure to relieve anxiety..You can get back for any clarifications with details.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and venereologist.
