Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I currently take the following med for high BP. Carvedilol. 25 mg, twice per day. My BP cuff just quit working yesterday, but I can hear it is high because of the veins near ones ears. Should I take a higher dosage to try and lower it. If so, how much more may I take? Thank you... Barbara Vaughn
The recommended maximum dose of Carvidalol per day for BP control. As you are already taking maximum dose so you should not increase the dose. Secondly this is nor a good practice to assess BP control by symptoms like pounding in ears.
This does not necessary mean your BP is high. You must check it properly with a BP set. If it was high then we can add another drug to control it.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
