Suggest The Dosage Of Clomifene While Planning For Pregnancy

Hi sir Usg revealed that I had twin follicles last month.i have pcod also.i am planning for pregnancy in next two months as my husband is coming home from abroad.is there any chances of anovulatory cycle in the next two months due to relese of twin follicles.what if i take clomifene.how should be the dosage

Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern. Since you have PCOD which means ovulation may be scanty or absent and since you have limited time to allow for conception, you need to act fast and smart. You have to get evaluated for ovulation status, tubal patency and hormone imbalances and any infections which need correction. If everything including the male factor is fine, you can use induction medication under medical surveillance. However, please understand that it may take a few months even in a normal couple to conceive naturally. Clomiphene is usually started at 50 mg. per day dosage and stepped up depending on the response. Hope this helps.
