Suggest The Dosage Of Diamicron That Can Be Taken While On Metformin?

Hi Doctor, I am a diabetic patient I am using metformin tablets morning and evening it s reducing my weight too match. I have diamicron 60 mg tablets previously doctors prescribe for me. can you please suggest me the dosage I am 46 year old, I can take 60 mg tablet morning and evening. Hi,

Diamicron is an excellent anti-diabetic medication, which comes in two formulations, immediate release and modified release. Immediate release 80 mg equals the modified release 30 mg.

I usually start my patient on Diamicron 80 mg (immediate release) in morning and 80 mg in evening, before meals and then adjust the dose according to response. However, keep in mind that single dose should not be exceeded than 160 mg and daily dose shouldn't be exceeded than 320 mg. Moreover, any change in dose of the drug should be done with consultation of the doctor.
