hepatitis presentation. whats your height?weight?are you obese? further evaluation adviced if not done yet. have you been vaccinated for HepB?
increase in the level of liver enzymes(AST,ALT) reflect an INJURY to the Liver. medically, the condition is know as "Hepatitis". it maybe caused by: 1. Virus (A, B, C, D, E) 2. Alcohol 3. drug induced (medication) 4. Gall bladder or common bile duct pathology 5."Fat excess" further evaluation needed do following test: 1. Viral serology ( hepA, B and C) anti HAV, HBsAg, anti-HBV, anti HCV 2. lipid profile 3. ultrasound abdomen
HepA virus is a common cause and self limited disease.
You may visit hepatologist and after receiving results of aforementioned tests as soon as possible. if any further questions, feel free to ask.
