My doctor gave me an eye drop Vitabact. I don t have any itching or pains. So I was wondering why he had to give it to me. I only went for general eye chect up. So my question is what is the function of Vitabact. Also I heard from a friend that constant use of eye drops weakens the lens. Is this true or just a fallacy? Thanks
I am Dr. Dadapeer K, an ophthalmologist and I will be answering your question.
I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are prescribed with Vitabact eye drops. Vitabact is an antiseptic eye drops and it is usually prescribed for the treatment of eye infections. The constant use of this eye drops will not lead to weakness of lens, but it is not required for general use without any problem.
Hope this is helpful to you.
Thank you With regards
