Suggest Therapies To Slow Down Or Stop Retinitis Pigmentosa

Retinitis pigmentosa, what therapies US, EU, Canada), if any, are efficient in slowing it down or stopping its progression? Is advanced cupping of the optic nerve caused by RP? My intraocular pressure is 17 in both eyes. How serious is this cupping? Can it actually affect my optic nerve? I am a female 65 years old of age and can see and go around pretty well. Thank you.

retinitis pigmentosa is not related to optic cup. you should go for other test to nexclude glaucoma. field tracing should be done. dark roomtest and water drinking test should nbe done. drug induced glaucoma test can be done. gonioscopy to study angle may be done. can take antioxident andomega6 but no information regarding drugs to slow down or cure petinitis pigmentosa.
