Hello,

Thank you for asking at HCM.

I went through your history and would like to make suggestions for you as follows:

1. I would like to know about your symptoms, medications, tests, etc in great detail as the provided details are confusing.

2. It is unusual to have CHF with BP 138/98 that needs daily Lasix unless there is some defect in heart function/structure. I would suggest you to get Echocardiography (Echo) and Electrocardiogram (ECG) done and get reviewed by an experienced cardiologist.

3. Your cough and breathlessness could be due to asthma also. I would suggest you Chest X-ray and Spirometry with post-bronchodilator reversibility testing to know your lung capacity and identify the type of lung disorder you may have.

4. If such investigations, especially those related to heart, are not done, it is difficult to conclude why are you getting regular symptoms, why you need daily Lasix, what is causing breathing difficulty, etc. Asthma and CHF are very different entities and need thorough evaluation to identify the cause.

5. Usually, 138/98 is not a greatly elevated BP that causes significant problems, CHF, etc. Such BP can be managed/controlled by salt restriction, life style modifications, relaxation, etc, in most common circumstances. This is the reason I am emphasizing the importance of identifying the cause of your symptoms.

Hope above suggestions will be helpful to you.

Should you have any further query, please feel free to ask at HCM.

Wish you the best of the health ahead.

Thank you & Regards.
