my son is 14 and has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder since the age of 8. he had 2 abnormal eegs and the 48 video reg also was abnormal. he recently had an mri and indicates a mild asymmetric prominence on left temporal horn, but non specific. what is it?
Hello, This finding on MRI is non-specific. It wont cause much damage. But you have to be careful with the bipolar disorder. Childhood onset bipolar disorder is difficult to manage and can relapse frequently. The doses of mood stabilizer required might higher than that those required for adult bipolar disorder. Thanks.
