Suggest Therapy For Low BP?

I am a little concerned about my diastolic number. I m 25 F overall good health. My BP is usually 120/75 and lately its been 106/53 range. I do get Iightheaded at times, but I have experienced that for many years. My iron level can get low but I take pills for that. Any reason for my BP being lower or is that normal?

Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

Low iron level can be either due to low intake of iron rich foods or chronic blood loss (either from heavy periods or Gastro-intestinal loss commonly). Chronic blood loss can cause hypovolaemia and postural hypotension and cause light-headedness. Anemia itself may also cause light-headedness.
Diastolic blood pressure is determined by peripheral resistance(mainly resistance arterioles in muscles). Low sodium intake also contributes to low diastolic BP. Check your serum electrolytes level.
