my name is Yaniv Hirschsohn and i am from Israel ,
my wife was infected with cmv few month ago (last blood test avidity 27%) and she sadly had to lose the baby (week 8).
i would like to ask you please , how much time should we wait before try again to get pregnent...

Hi, thanks for writing..
Till CMV IgM becomes negative, it is better to avoid conception.. IgG suggest past infection..So its value need not be worried.. Give arest of 3 mnths after the abortion.. If she is not immunised against rubella and chickenpox, get her immunised..But a 3 mon th time has to be given before next pregnancy.. Continue folic acid for 3 months and iron for 2 months..
