Suggest Tips To Help Treat Behavioral Issues In A 4 Year Old

My son is 4 years old, and sometimes I think he pretends he fell, or in some way, hurt himself, for attention. When he does actually get hurt, sometimes I think he cries way too hard about it, and I would like to know the best way to handle the situation when it arises. Should I race to pick him up, or tell him to be a tough boy?

Hi, thanks for asking.
I can understand your concerns.
In my opinion whenever he gets heart you should first go and check on him how much he is really hurt. Then just comfort him once and then ignore if he keeps on crying for attention seeking. If you feel his behaviour is attention seeking then you should completely ignore him and try to give him more attention when he is doing some positive behaviour.
Telling him to be a tough guy will not help, you are responding to his attention seeking behaviour and that may increase it.
I hope I have helped you.
Thank you.
