Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your grandmother's symptoms and understand that she has paralysis of left arm and leg. In addition, she has difficulty in swallowing solid foods.

She can take fruit juices, milk, soup, etc, which would be easy to swallow. Then, slowly, you can introduce soft solids such as banana, idli, upma, etc.

She should also undergo muscle strengthening exercises under the guidance of a physiotherapist.

She would get better over time.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
