Suggest Treatment For Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Hi, Is there any treatment available for ADHD - LD (Learning Disorder)? My 5 year old child (male) is suffeing from ADHD - LD. He is having some behaviroual issues. He can concentrate on a task but his head is shaking while focosing. Most of the time he seeks for our attention, and try to distract ourselves if we don t listen him. We are really helpless as this is affecting our normal life. We are very worried about his own future too. Right now he is taking a couple of physio therepy sessions, and also taking help from special educators for his education needs.

I can understand your concerns.
I would like to know whether he is on any medications for ADHD?
Most of the children suffering from ADHD have behavioural issues. If he is not on medications he will benefit from medications. Behavioural management is the key for managing the ADHD children. He may also benefit from the social skill training.
Head shaking while trying to focus is a sign of sensory deficit. You may try putting a head band for him while he is studying.
In the physiotherapy sessions ask the therapist to do sensory integration therapy for him. Continue special education for him.
With proper management the outcome of ADHD child is equivalent to a non ADHD child.
