Hi, I have a friend, she is not normal, I would love to help her, I believe she has mentel retardation, everyone avoids her so I try to help her and try to act normal around her but its hard when you have OCD and ADHD/add. Also she doesn t know why pepole treat her different.i want to help her, and tell her why she is treated differently. But don t want to mess up her treatment. We are bothe 11

Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern regarding your friend. You think she has mental retardation, OCD and have ADHD. In ADHD a lot of children feel discrimination because of their weird and abnormal behaviour. Try to make her comfortable before you are going to talk to her. Tell her that she has some chemical balance in brain and that drugs will help to correct that imbalance and she would improve with treatment.

For treatment drugs like stimulants as Amphetamines, or Attentrol etc are used. For her treatment talk to her parents and consider discussing a psychiatrist.
