Suggest Treatment For COPD And Restless Leg Syndrome

My mother is 80 years old, she has restless leg syndrome and COPD, she has had 2 back surgeries for spinal stenosis and gall bladder removed. She takes Mirapex and a water pill daily. Lately she has been having episodes where she shakes very badly, not a seizure, just shaking. She has been very weak and gets dizzy. Currently she was throwing up for 24 hrs and is very cold, has a headache, backache, and is shaking. She had a flu shot 1 week ago, and had blood work done which shows nothing. Her doctor called her in a prescription for an antibiotic yesterday. What could cause this?

Hi,
Those shaky movements could be a side effect of pramipexole(mirapex)..
It also causes dizziness loss of coordination etc..
Throwing up can have a lot of causes....ask if she has epigastric burning sensation...if so rabeprazole and domperidone has to be added to her list...
Get an ultrasound scan of abdomen if not done.. take the course of antibiotic as said by your doctor.
If the sideeffects are severe change form mirapex to pregabalin or gabapentin.which have less side effects..
