Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... Sir my brother is taking charas & Marijuana since last 2-3 years, we r located in mumbai. he is also addicted to alcohol, he gets very violent after taking any of the above. recently he has started robbery for easy money, which is affecting the entire families life. please suggest......
Charas and ganja are psychostimulants while alcohol is central nervous system depressant. Both are the subtstance of abuse and when it is used over a period of time person becomes dependent on them and finds it difficult to quit without intervention. In other words the person experience severe withdrawal symptoms on quiting and not able to do despite his best efforts.
Considering the risk it is important to get patient admitted in nearby psychiatric facility such as government hospitals or deaddiction center. The person will be given symptomartic treatment includig IV fluids and sedatives.
To conclude it is pertinent to visit nearby psychiatric/deaddiction facility for admission and treatment.
I hope this helps you. Thanks and regards.
