first of all , I am a dual transplant recipient (kidney and 3 mo. later pancreas) 12 yrs. ago. I am having problems with my throat. voice is changed to raspy and lower. I am a singer and this proves detrimental. It feels like I have been yelling too long at a sporting event. But there has been no yelling. I saw ENT Dr. at VA and she said I had Acid re-flux while sleeping. Put me on omeprazole 20mg. and Flonaze nose spray. It hasn t helped that I can tell. My breathing is a little restricted and my singing is shaky at best. I tried to read up and find out something/anything but only came up with Hyperthyroidism. But I really have no clue. She stuck a camera into my nose and we looked together at my vocal chords. they appeared to be fine but the two spots just in front of the vocal chords were(above)inflamed, and (below) swollen or endemic.Constant nasal drainage and constantly clearing my throat . When I clear it, I can sing just fine until it gets full of nasal drainage again. getting real frustrated by now.
